speaking of pop art…

I love this mini-Andy Warhol costume idea over at oh happy day! Mostly because anything miniaturized is adorable, but also because I really dig Andy Warhol. I’ve always been a bit fascinated by him, but It wasn’t until a few years ago when researching his early work and life, for a pop art unit I was about to teach, did I really come to appreciate Warhol’s body of work, it added a lot perspective I didn’t have before. The Warhol in Pittsburgh is definitely one of the best museums I’ve been to, too.

Now I really want to have a Halloween party to dress up for! If I had an extra two-grand burning a hole in my wallet, perhaps I’d wear this dress. In the meantime, I think I’ll just put together a costume with pieces like these:
